ALL ABOUT CHANGE

Micah J. Sturm

The Church’s mission is simple—“to know the transforming Christ and be found faithful.”

Christ loves us all.
Christ welcomes everyone.
Christ changes everything…everywhere…completely.

The Church is filled each week with:

Singles who remain celibate until marriage because of Jesus,

“Stuff-worshipers”—those allow the “stuff of life” to become idols—who discard the destructive because of Jesus,

Adulterers who are now faithful because of Jesus,

People struggling with identity who find themselves complete because of Jesus,

Thieves who no longer steal because of Jesus,

Addicts—those once intoxicated by alcohol, drugs, pornography, food, etc—who are now dependent only on Jesus,

Hateful and bitter people who now exude love and grace because of Jesus,

Cheaters who looked for personal advantage now are honest in their dealings because of Jesus!

It’s called grace.

God’s grace transforms sinners into saints—rescued ones!
We are not what or who we once were because of Jesus!

The Church needs to return to our roots—it’s all about change!

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Some of you once lived this way.

But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭11‬ ‭NET‬‬

Thanks be to God!
